<p>Chalets come with either one queen size four-poster bed or two single four-poster beds. All beds made up with cotton sheets, a duvet (extra blankets available) and mosquito nets.</p>
<p>All chalets are on a ridge and face the Kafue River with garden and bush in front up to the river&rsquo;s edge.</p>
<p>Upon return from your activities, relax with drink in hand in one of our lounge areas, all offering stunning views of the river.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Centrally located you will find:</p>  <p>Our Boma (Restaurant/bar/wifi)</p>  <p>Infinity Pool and separate children&rsquo;s paddling pool</p>  <p>Several decks with a spectacular view over the Kafue river</p>  <p>Food &amp; drinks</p>  <p>Mukambi is famous for its excellent cuisine, friendly staff and highly experienced guides.</p>  <p>Meals:</p>  <p>All accommodation offered at the lodge is on a full board basis (self-catering not permitted). We have a set 3 choice set menu but we do meet all dietary requirements i.e vegan, vegetarian, halaal, gluten, lactose etc.</p>  <p>Breakfast: A choice menu including amongst others full English breakfast, eggs Benedict, cereal and fresh fruit buffet, pastries, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or juice.</p>  <p>Lunch: a fixed menu is served which consists of a warm meal served with a meat (Beef, Pork,<br /> Chicken or Fish) and either rice, potatoes or pasta and 2 different salads.</p>  <p>Dinner: A 3 choice menu including a vegetarian option is on offer every night.</p>  <p>Bar &amp; drinks:</p>  <p>All drinks are included in the Mukambi Safaris all-inclusive packages. On our full-board rates they are extra.</p>
<p><strong>Kafue Wildlife</strong></p>  <p>The breeding herds of elephant have settled down and the large predators are back in numbers. Among them several prides of lion, cheetah and leopard. Also packs of the endangered wild dog regularly pay a visit. Other animals that you are likely to encounter are buffalo, zebra, hippo and various antelope species like impala, puku, sable, hartebeest, bushbuck, roan and waterbuck.</p>  <p><strong>Kafue Birds</strong></p>  <p>The diversity of habitat makes Kafue National Park also one of the best locations in Africa for birding. The Kafue River, wetlands, savannah and woodland boast an impressive 478 of Zambia&rsquo;s 733-recorded bird species. Among them African Wattled and Crowned Crane, Fish Eagle, Woolly-Necked Stork, Saddle Billed Stork, Goliath Heron, Ground Hornbill, African Fin Foot, Pel&rsquo;s Owl, Purple-Crested Lourie and Chaplin&rsquo;s Barbet amongst others.</p>
